GREAT VALLEY WINE
Our grapes are meticulously tended throughout the year to provide the best quality starting point for our wine. We believe that wine is grown in the field and without a quality crop, you cannot make quality wine. Varietals grown on our farm include Cabernet Franc, Gruner Veltliner, Lemberger and Vidal Blanc. The two Austrian varietals, Gruner and Lemberger, have proven to be particularly well suited to our climate. We started wine production in 2019 utilizing grapes grown on our farm, as well as several vineyards in the Shenandoah Valley.

2019 Gruner Veltliner
Estate grown Gruner Veltliner which was partially fermented in stainless and partially in French oak. The oak is not overpowering and only serves to add a little complexity. Flavors of citrus and stone fruit in this medium-bodied white wine.

2019 White Blend
A blend of Chardonel (60%) and Vidal (40%) which yielded a light, crisp white wine with good acidity. All stainless steel fermented and aged. Flavors of lemon/lime, tropical fruit and a touch of minerality.
12.4% ABV

2019 Chambourcin Rose
Mostly Chambourcin with a bit of Cabernet Franc blended in. Short skin contact produced a dry wine with a pale salmon color. Flavors of strawberry, white peach and melon.
12.5% ABV

2019 Red Blend
A blend of estate grown Cabernet Franc (55%) and Noiret (45%). A deceptively dark wine with soft tannins and fresh fruit. Noiret provides the dark fruit (blackberry/blueberry) and Cabernet Franc lends its signature baking spice flavor to the mix.
